
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Consultant George Santos, who has confronted calls from fellow New York state Republicans to step down after fabricating a lot of his resume, is being investigated by the Home Ethics Committee, Home Speaker Kevin McCarthy confirmed to CNN on Tuesday.
“Ethics is shifting via, and if Ethics finds one thing, we’ll take motion,” McCarthy instructed the cable information outlet when requested about Santos’ constituents calling on him to resign.
